Various fish sculptures:
Rock Fish
Wall Hanging – Forged and fabricated mild steel, granite rock
41″ x 30″ x 5″ ; 100+ lbs
This piece was made from a beautifully colored rock that a friend of mine, Peter Santenello, carried all the way home while on a hike. We mused on how it resembled a fish body and the idea was born.
Fish in the Round
Table top. Forged and fabricated mild steel
16″ x 8″ x 3″ ; 6 lbs
Fish in the Round was made in two separate parts and welded together without any seams visible. It was fun to create a round sculpture from completely flat steel.
Fischer Fish
Table top or bookshelf. Forged and fabricated mild steel
Larger: 12″ x 8″ x 4-1/2″ ; 3 lbs. Smaller: 10″ x 7″ x 4″ ; 2 lbs
This piece was made for some good friends, Bryan and Alison Cole and their son Fischer. They were visiting for Christmas in 2012 and had a picture of a fish that they wanted to have made. I came up with a great design that used different textures and shapes to make the dimensions more interesting.
Swordfish
Wall hanging. Forged and fabricated mild steel, Stone
57″ x 20″ x 6″ ; 27 lbs
An elongated steel nose and textured tail wrap a stone to form a Swordfish.
Bottom Dweller
Wall hanging. Forged and fabricated mild steel, Stone
20″ x 16″ x 4″ ; 18 lbs
